The Jamaica Progressive League was formed to enhance the well- being of Jamaicans
at home and in the Diaspora and development of Jamaica and as a whole. The People’s
National Party expressed the same ideas as the League did on many issues it was for
those reasons that in 1972 the League decided to would put its full support behind
the PNP. This was done with the hope that it would be the instrumental in effecting
the well needed change in Jamaica. The League will continue to be supportive to the
PNP as long as the party continues to uphold the ideals on which it was founded and
stand on the side of justice.
